Privacy Policy
Privacy information for CareFlow Kids and CareView Family.
Overview
This privacy policy applies to the applications CareFlow Kids and CareView Family.
Local-first design
These applications follow a local-first architecture. Patient data is stored locally on the user’s device inside a portable file called a .pemr bundle (Portable Electronic Medical Record).
The structured medical database stored inside the .pemr bundle is encrypted using AES-GCM. In addition, the bundle uses HMAC / SHA-256 integrity verification to help detect unauthorized modification or corruption of the record.
The applications themselves do not maintain a centralized patient database or cloud account system.
Data storage
All medical data entered in the applications is stored locally inside the .pemr bundle. Users are responsible for storing and sharing these bundles appropriately.
Data sharing
The .pemr bundle is designed to be portable and may be shared between clinicians and families using compatible applications. Data sharing occurs only when users intentionally export or transmit a bundle.
AI assistance
CareFlow Kids may optionally use online AI services to provide clinical support suggestions based on structured consultation data. When this feature is used, only limited clinical information necessary to generate an answer is transmitted. Identifiable patient information such as names or identifiers is not included in these requests.
No tracking
The applications do not use analytics trackers, advertising frameworks, or behavioral tracking technologies.
User responsibility
Users remain responsible for the appropriate handling, storage, and sharing of patient data contained in .pemr bundles.
