Well visits
Well visits document preventive pediatric care and follow the child's growth, development, and general health over time.
In CareFlow Kids, well visits are designed to support the structured follow-up of children at expected age milestones.
Main components
Well visits typically include:
- Growth monitoring
- Developmental milestones
- Feeding and nutrition
- Sleep
- Physical examination
- Preventive guidance
These elements are combined into a structured record that can be reviewed over time and included in reports.
Typical workflow
- Open the patient bundle in the sidebar.
- Enter growth measurements in the Growth Table from the dashboard Measures section.
Growth measurements should be recorded in the Growth Table before opening a new well visit, so that the visit can immediately display the growth trend analysis.
- Create or open the relevant well visit.
- Record feeding, sleep, and physical examination findings.
- Review developmental milestones.
- Write conclusions and guidance.
- Save the visit.
- Generate a report if needed.
- Export the updated
.pemrbundle to keep the portable record current.
Good practice
Record growth measurements as close as possible to the expected visit date so that the growth evaluation and milestone interpretation remain clinically accurate.
Relationship with the patient record
Each well visit becomes part of the patient's longitudinal preventive health record stored in the .pemr bundle.
Over time, this allows the clinician to review:
- growth trajectories
- developmental progress
- previous advice and conclusions
- continuity of preventive care
