Documents not appearing
If documents expected in the patient record do not appear in CareFlow Kids or CareView Family, the issue is usually related to how the bundle was updated or how the document was added.
This page lists the most common causes and quick checks.
The document was not added through the application
Documents should always be added using the Documents section of the application.
If a file was manually inserted into a .pemr bundle outside the application, the system may not recognize it.
Possible solution:
- Open the bundle in CareFlow Kids.
- Go to Documents.
- Add the file using the Add document function.
- Export the updated
.pemrbundle.
The bundle was not exported after adding the document
If the doctor added a document but the bundle was not exported again, the family will not see the document.
Possible solution:
- Open the patient bundle in CareFlow Kids.
- Verify that the document appears in the Documents section.
- Export a new
.pemrbundle. - Share the updated bundle.
The wrong bundle was opened
Families may accidentally open an older bundle that does not contain the latest documents.
Check that the most recent .pemr file is being opened.
If unsure:
- Delete the older bundle from the device.
- Import the most recent
.pemrbundle again.
Unsupported file type
Most common medical document formats are supported, including:
- image files (such as JPG or PNG)
If a document uses an unusual format, it may not display correctly on the device.
In that case, convert the document to PDF before adding it to the record.
When to contact support
If documents still do not appear after these checks, generating a support log may help diagnose the issue.
To generate a support log:
- Open Settings.
- Select Export support log.
- Share the log with the support team if requested.
